Most clean, dry household or business belongings can be stored, but every facility has sensible limits designed to protect customers, staff and the building. Ask before move-in if an item is unusual, valuable or difficult to classify.
PRACTICAL GUIDANCE
Boxes, furniture, clothing, books, sports equipment, tools, sealed documents and non-perishable business stock are common examples. Items should be dry, stable and packed so they cannot leak or fall. Never store food, plants, animals, waste, flammable liquids, gas cylinders, fuel, fireworks, chemicals, weapons, illegal goods or anything damp or infested. Vehicles and machinery may require fuel and battery preparation and must be agreed in advance. Cash, irreplaceable documents, jewellery and extremely valuable collections are usually better kept in specialist secure arrangements. Customers remain responsible for suitable contents protection or insurance throughout the rental.
BEFORE YOU MOVE IN
If you are uncertain, send the team a list or photograph before arriving. It is much easier to confirm an item in advance than to rearrange a loaded van at the facility.
